Resumo da Palestra: Dental adhesion revolutionized the shape and content of clinical dentistry. Development of acidic functional monomers, capable of providing etching function and promoting adhesion, has been milestone in modern adhesive dentistry. 10-Methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate or MDP is an increasingly popular key monomer. However, the success of two-step self-etch adhesive is not only because of the functional monomer. Composition balance and bond layer quality also play an important role in achieving a good sealing performance. This talk will review a few important aspects of successful adhesive restorations.
