ÁREAS DE INTERESSE

As áreas de interesse podem ser subdivididas em 4 grupos:

• Compreender e caracterizar os mecanismos biológicos do envolvimento oral e das glândulas salivares na doença do enxerto contra o hospedeiro crônica, (DECHc) após o transplante alogênico de células tronco hematopoéticas
• Compreender os mecanismos de hemostasia em cavidade bucal, através do estudo da fibrinolise oral e de agentes hemostáticos locais;
• Caracterizar os mecanismos biológicos e determinar os defeitos genéticos das toxicidades orais causadas pelo tratamento antineoplásico.
• Promover e entender o envolvimento do tratamento odontológico em pacientes portadores de doenças hematológicas e onco-hematologicas.
